Remember that work trip I talked about? Well, it was okay. But my view was really nice. I got to hang out with three really cool 70 year olds for two days and eat a $17 in-room breakfast.
The conference was a great reminder of how naive I am. Apparently it's completely acceptable to be married and hit on every man or woman that walks by. Gross. Needless to say, I was really excited to get home and see Andrew. And watch the Oscars. And get snowed-in for two days.
Please note that this photo was taken 2 days after it snowed.
We watched a zillion hours of Netflix and caught up on the Bachelor. Poor adopted AshLee...always crying. I had her picked for the win until the last episode, when wedding dress Lindsey took the lead. I'm blown away that Catherine is still around. I mean, I personally think she's cool. She just doesn't seem like Sean's "type".
Of course, One-F Jef didn't seem like Emily's type and they stood the test of time...
Okay, that was a bad example.
Fact: Only TWO of the 24 Bachelor/Bachelorette couples have stayed together.
Dear Chris Harrison,
I don't think we're asking too much.
Sincerely,
The People of America
Okay, back to my two snow days. Count em - TWO. Never in all my time of living in the Texas panhandle have I experience two snow days.
We have a few cabin fever break downs, but nothing an unwatched netflix movie couldn't cure.
I also took some time to be crafty. I've been wanting to add some pizazz to our second bathroom.
So I worked on some art for the poorly textured walls. And wine.
We also got some new freelance work on the books. A few shower/wedding invites and another wedding video shoot this summer. YEAH! (I think...It's great until my full-time job gets in the way)
I created this lovely watercolor look with highlighters stolen from the receptionists desk at work.
Also, I was watching Pretty in Pink today (one of my favorite movies). Anyway, my heart melts every time I watch this scene. HOW CAN MOLLY RINGWALD JUST SIT THERE WITH THAT LOOK ON HER FACE???
Happy Friday
